Our Founder

Jodi Goodfellow

Jodi launched a fashion-tech startup in 2011, which led to her next endeavor as founder of Startup Fashion Week (SFW), supporting new businesses after experiencing the struggles of being a startup entrepreneur. Since 2014 Jodi has made an impact on the Canadian fashion industry by leading the most innovative fashion week in Canada. As executive producer of SFW Jodi built relationships with sponsors, designers, media, models, photographers and other notable professionals across Canada and the US. She noticed that there was a need for a boutique agency to support small businesses with smaller budgets and decided to launch FASH PR in 2020.

Finding trustworthy people to work with can be challenging and her authentic reputation is what attracts clients. She understands how to make newsworthy stories and also understands various struggles businesses go through. Since launching FASH PR she has worked with entrepreneurs at all stages of business. She has designed beautiful websites, produced a fashion show and multiple photo shoots, managed social media accounts, managed media relations and has also acquired global press coverage for clients at events such as Paris Fashion Week and CES (Consumer Electronics Show). She has also most recently purchased a vintage camper for FASH PR’s newest endeavor - stay tuned!

FAQs

  • It all depends. Every client is unique and requires different PR services, which can range from $50 to thousands. We can offer fees per project (check out some of the services on our SHOP page) or do a monthly retainer (no obligatory length of contract). It is best to send us an email to perhaps set up a call to discuss the scope of work. If you choose to d a monthly retainer we charge $1500 for the first month because it requires a lot of time researching you, your brand and building out strategy. Afterwards the fee is $1000 / month.

  • First we need to find out if you have a logo. If not you may want to consider having us design one for you. When clients want us to design a website for them we send them a google form to take an inventory of all the information we will need to get started. We recommend filling it out ASAP so we can get started. From there we will build you a beautiful website. If you would like a new website please email us to discuss further.

  • It really depends how prepared you are. If there are delays in providing assets (logo, domain, any specific content) then that will delay the project. We like to delver websites within a week for review (sometimes sooner) but ultimately it is up to the client to be ready.

  • Often clients are unaware of how the media industry works, which creates unrealistic expectations. It is important for us to be completely transparent. We will work with you to find a newsworthy angle to pitch your story to our contacts and also suggest reasons why you may have to wait to pitch certain milestone media.   • Yes, you can either go to our SHOP page and purchase our resource lists of photographers, models etc. to source your own or we can set up a call to discuss logistics to determine what our production fee would be to do all the sourcing and logistics for you.

  • No matter the size of the project or if you prefer a monthly retainer we do require a 50% deposit up front and 50% upon completion. This is to ensure you get the work delivered and to also ensure we get compensated for our time. Unfortunately there have been circumstances where we have completed jobs and were never compensated. This is the most fair way to work with clients.

  • Yes, but be ready. Many entrepreneurs don’t realize that they will need line sheets, bar codes, professional photos etc. We can help with these things also.
